FIA-homologated auto racing helmet: which one to choose?
As soon as a Frontal Head Restraint (FHR, such as HANS) system is mandatory, your helmet must be FIA-homologated. The FIA 8859-2024 is the current standard for national and international competitions that do not require the 8860: this is the case for the RZ-70F, RZ-61F, and RZ-63F, all of which are dual-homologated Snell SA2025.
The FIA 8860-2018 is the most rigorous standard, required notably in GT3, WEC, WRC, and World Rallycross. The RZ-88C and RZ-88O meet this requirement with a carbon weave shell weighing approximately 1,350g in size M and an anti-fog Z-24 shield.
ZAMP helmets are delivered without HANS clips: add the Z-Tech HANS clips. Still unsure? Read our guide FIA 8859 or 8860.
